Cricket 07 Troubleshooting Guide: Fixes for Every Common Problem

Quick Checklist Before Anything Else

Run through these five checks first. They solve the majority of issues:

1. Use a desktop or laptop, not a phone or tablet.
2. Use an up to date browser with WebGPU support. Chrome and Edge are the safest picks.
3. Turn on hardware acceleration in your browser settings.
4. Whitelist play.cricket07.in in any ad-blocker or script-blocking extension.
5. Click once inside the game screen after it loads.

If the problem is still there, find your symptom below.

Black Screen or Game Won't Load

A black screen almost always means the browser cannot access your graphics hardware.

1. Enable hardware acceleration. In Chrome: open Settings, go to System, and turn on "Use graphics acceleration when available". Then fully close and reopen the browser. Edge has the same option under Settings and then System and performance.
2. Update your browser. The game needs WebGPU, which older browser versions do not have. Check for updates in your browser's About page.
3. Disable blocking extensions temporarily. Strict ad-blockers and script blockers can stop the game from loading. Whitelist play.cricket07.in or switch the extension off for this site.
4. Try Chrome or Edge. Firefox and Safari can work, but their WebGPU support varies by version and operating system. If you are on either of those and the screen stays black, test in Chrome before anything else.
5. Check for a dedicated graphics driver update if you are on an older machine. Outdated graphics drivers can block WebGPU even in a current browser.

Stuck on the Loading Screen

Loading can take a while on the first launch, and that is normal. The launcher processes your game files before the game appears.

• Give it time and keep the tab open. Do not refresh the page repeatedly while the launcher is working, because each refresh starts the process again.
• Close other heavy tabs and applications to free up memory.
• If loading never finishes after several minutes, close the tab, reopen play.cricket07.in and try again with hardware acceleration confirmed on.

Keyboard Not Responding

This is the most common issue of all, and the fix takes one second.

1. Click once inside the game screen. When a page first opens, the browser does not automatically send key presses to the game. One click gives the game keyboard focus, and every arrow key and shot button works from then on.
2. If keys stop working mid-session, you probably clicked outside the game area. Click back inside the game screen.
3. Check that no browser extension is capturing your shortcuts. Extensions that add their own hotkeys can swallow key presses before the game sees them.
4. On name-entry screens, remember that A, S, D and W type letters there. That is normal behaviour, not a bug. The Controls Guide covers all the key bindings.

No Sound or Commentary

Browsers block audio on every website until you interact with the page. This is a browser rule, not a game fault.

1. Click anywhere on the game screen. Audio, including the Richie Benaud and Mark Nicholas commentary, starts after that first interaction.
2. Check the tab is not muted. Right click the browser tab and look for an unmute option.
3. Check your system volume and output device.
4. If you are playing the Lite edition, remember it does not include commentary and ships with reduced music. That is by design. Switch to the Regular edition on the game page if you want the full audio.

Lag, Stutter or Low Frame Rate

1. Close other tabs, video calls and background applications. Browser games share your machine's resources with everything else running.
2. Confirm hardware acceleration is on. Without it, the browser renders the game on the CPU, and that is slow.
3. Plug laptops into power. Many laptops throttle performance on battery.
4. If stutter appears only when a new scene starts, that is usually resources loading for the first time. It settles once the scene has loaded.

The Launcher Won't Accept My Game Folder

The launcher asks you to select a folder containing compatible game files. If it rejects your selection:

• Make sure you selected the game folder itself, not a shortcut, an installer, a disc image or a zip file.
• The folder needs the actual game files inside it. A folder containing only an installer will not work.
• If you have multiple copies, try the complete installed folder rather than a partial or modified one.

Compatible game files are required for the launcher to run the game, and they are not supplied automatically. Our upcoming download guide covers what the launcher expects in more detail.

Multiplayer Connection Problems

For 1v1 matches, both players' connections matter:

1. Both players should run through the quick checklist at the top of this page first.
2. Create a fresh room and share the new room code if a join attempt fails. Codes are tied to a session.
3. Avoid VPNs and heavily restricted networks (office or school connections) where possible, because they can block the connection between players.
4. A wired connection or strong Wi-Fi beats mobile hotspots for stability.

My Saves Disappeared

Saves live in your browser's storage on this device.

• Clearing your browser's site data, cookies or history for this site can erase saves. Avoid doing that if you have tournament progress you care about.
• A different browser, a different browser profile, or incognito mode will not see saves made elsewhere. Play in the same browser and profile each time.
• Incognito and private windows often discard storage when closed, so avoid them for tournament play.

Save regularly through the in-game save interface before closing the tab. The save shortcuts are listed in the Controls Guide.

Playing on Mobile or Tablet

The website opens on mobile browsers, but Cricket 07 was designed around a full keyboard with arrow keys, Shift combinations and action keys. There is no touch control scheme, so phones and tablets cannot deliver the intended experience. Use a desktop or laptop with a keyboard.
